Here we introduce you to our Pastor and his wife.

Bro. Alfred M. Hartley has ministered at five churches over the past 40 years. He was a Bi-vocational minister and a school teacher. He retired from teaching in 1999. He retired from the pastorate in 2001 but preached frequently in churches in the pastor's absences. In January of 2002 he became interim minister at Kansas Baptist Church . The church extended a call for him to serve as pastor. He became the pastor in January 2003. This is his second pastorate at Kansas .

Alfred's hobby is playing bluegrass music on the mandolin. He and a few friends go to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and a senior citizens center to play for the residents each month. He feels this is also a ministry.

Alfred and his wife, Marie, have been married 43 years. They have two daughters and two grandchildren. Marie is a retired social worker.
