Dear Member and Friends of Kansas Baptist Church ,
The wonderful sound of children having a good time in the Family Life Center is very rewarding. I wish each of you could spend some time with us on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. We are having a great time with the children and meeting parents and grandparents. One of our members remarked that it was their first time to have a problem finding a parking place at Kansas Baptist Church. Again, it is because many of you believed in God's vision for Kansas Baptist Church. You believed in it and became a supporter of the work.
I know that I express this each time in the Newsletter, but I just can't help expressing our thanks for you and God's touch upon your life. The scripture tells us, "We are laborers together with God." No single person can take credit for what God has done. All of us are thankful to be a part in the work of God. How amazing it is that just a few years ago where huge pine trees were, now a beautiful building sits in which hundreds have and are being ministered to. We are in the process of sowing and cultivating the seed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We must leave the results to God. We will remain faithful in his work. There are many who have come forward volunteering their time and skills as coaches, referees, and workers in selling concessions etc.
The "In honor and Memory" plaques have been hung in the entrance to the Family Life Center. People who read the names on the plates are reminded of people who live or have lived and influenced their lives. We have started the second plaque. If you would like to make a donation in honor or memory of someone, we will add their names as the donations come in.
UPWARD MINISTRY
January 27th the church hosted UPWARD SUNDAY for K-2 grades. There was a time of special recognition and participation certificates given to each coach and team member. Afterwards, lunch was provided for all. February 4th, we did the same thing for the 3-4 grades. Thanks ladies for your great planning and work. The attendance was great with lunch following the celebration and worship services.
Our Lottie Moon Missions offering goal ($1500.00) was reached and exceeded. The total of the offering was $1,747.00. We were blessed and challenged by Jared Dobbins as our mission speaker on Sunday January 21 st. Thanks to all of you for helping exceed our goal. God bless you, Marie

Total amount raised to date for Family Life Center: $253,042.77. The cost of the electrical work and the heating and A/C for the gym was $42,668.24. Thanks to the building committee, the heat for the gym arrived on time and the gym is comfortable during this time of cold weather.
