Dear Member and Friends of Kansas Baptist Church ,
UPWARD MINISTRY
The UPWARD MINISTRY is coming together and the response is encouraging. We had our first registration on Nov. 2 with 12 children registering for Basketball. We are advertising and many more are going to be playing. We are also going to have Upward Cheerleading. Volunteers are coming forward to help. Please pray for this ministry. Every person that is introduced to Jesus will be a blessing to you. We all have a part in this outreach. There are many things that will need to be done and there is a place for you to work. The ladies will be organizing to sell refreshments to offset the expense of the program. Ladies, there is a place for you to serve. Give your name to any of the Upward Team Members. Team Director: Mike Garner. Members are: Sherry Garner, Dennis and Libby Dobbins , Marie and Alfred Hartley. We would like to also report that, thanks to anonymous donors we will have some nice end goals. This will complete the gym courts and ready us for the games.
FALL FESTIVAL
Our fall festival was held on Sunday Evening Oct. 29. We had a good crowd and the puppet program was great. Who Stole the Gospels; really got the message of Jesus across to the young and the adults who were in attendance. Afterward, there was food, fun, and games in the gym. The kids and adults had a blast on the huge slide. It was a great evening and we enjoyed having all the visitors.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The donations for the Family Life Center for the month of October were $1,985.00. We certainly want to thank all those who made a Homecoming Offering to the Family Life Center . As reported in the last newsletter, the church drew $50,000 on our line of credit to cover the cost of the gym flooring and some other related expenses. The gym flooring cost $44,450.00. Another payment of $14,71 5.00 has been made to the Covington Flooring Company. The final payment will be made after the logo is placed in the center of the court and an inspection clears the job. As of October 31, we now have $20,843.35 in the building fund. The regular $1,000 payment to First National Bank has been made. As of October 31, we owe First National Bank $54,343.10. Since the project began we have raised to date, $244,872.46.
 OUR LOGOS 
Thanks to Charles Ivey , Sr. The church now has official logos. The logos represents the ministry of Kansas Baptist Church. We lift up the banner of the Cross. It is our purpose and honor to proclaim the Gospel to the world.
NOVEMBER MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES "Operation Christmas Child"
We are participating in the "Shoe Box" ministry. These are sent to other countries with a Gospel message to reach out to the people and show God's love. Please bring to church by November 14. In additon, include $7.00 in the box to cover shipping.
NURSING HOME MINISTRY
Using the list in the bulletin Sunday, please purchase an item to go to a patient in the Carbon Hill Nursing Home. There will be a container by the water fountain to put your gift in. The gifts should be at church by November 26.
