On October 30th, we had our fall festival in the Family Life Center. This was our first major event for the community in the building. We had around 100 in attendance. The puppet program was a success. They presented, "The King of the Jungle". Not only is God King of the jungle, but because He created everything, He is King of the universe. God showed Himself and His love through Jesus, His Son. The message of the Gospel was clear to all the children and adults who were present. After the puppet show, there were games, food and fun in the gym. Then we gathered in the fellowship hall and had a drawing for the door prizes. Several of our members treated the children to "Trunk a Treat" as they were leaving. Many of our members came to visit and work. We met many people and children and were able to get acquainted with them and introduce them to Kansas Baptist Church. |

| Sunday Oct. 30th, we had a Gideon speaker fill the pulpit. This is a great ministry of spreading the Gospel by placing Bibles and New Testaments in motels, hospitals, schools, and other locations. Kansas Baptist Church's total offering to this ministry was $422.00. Thanks to all who gave, this means that a number of Bibles and New Testaments will be placed. |
| PROJECT REPORT: As we mentioned early, the floor was tiled so you will see that we spent quite a sum of money. The financial report for the month of October is as follows. Donations for homecoming month was $6,582.40. We have as of Oct.31st, $8,537.93 in the building fund. We have raised to date $203,352.43. After drawing $10,000.00 on our line of credit with FNB we now owe $25,531.83. |
| Ministry Opportunities: Kansas Baptist Church will participate in packing shoe boxes to send to children in countries where there are many hurting children. These children live in difficult even desperate circumstances and their faces beam with delight when they open a box and find a gift just for them. Operation Christmas child is about sharing the true gift of Jesus. Children and families have believed in Jesus and have been saved. Boxes must be turned in by Nov. 13 as they must be sent by the 14th of Nov. The first thing to pack is prayer. You may decorate the box but wrap the lid separately. On the bulletin insert is a label. Pick a boy or girl in the age group you want to make a box for and check in the space provided. Tape this to the box top and put $5.00 in an envelope inside the box to cover shipping. For information call Marie 221-7660. |
