Greetings to all our members and friends of Kansas Baptist Church,

It is hard to believe that Spring is already here.  The cold weather is giving way to one of the most beautiful times of the year.   I hope that this newsletter finds you having a good day.  If not I encourage you to look up to the Lord and ask for His guidance and help for today.  This newsletter comes to you with a special prayer.  I am asking the Lord to be specially near to you today and to make His presence real to you.

know that you always expect good news when you read this report on the Church because you have become a part of us through your support.  We have designated the first  Sunday night of each month as Youth night.  For March we had  Bart Lockhart as our youth speaker.  Bart is a student at Delta State University in Mississippi.  His home is in Cordova where he played quarter back for the Cordova Blue Devils.  Bart excelled in academics as well as football.  More importantly, he is a fine Christian young man.  The church really enjoyed Bart's message and fellowship.  Thanks to the social committee for the hotdog fellowship after the services.  The youth, and some adults, enjoyed the games in the gym.
On Easter Sunday the choir presented the cantata, "Champion of Love."  It was very inspirational.  We had a very good number in attendance.  Thanks to all the members of the choir who worked very  faithfully to learn the music and  letting the Lord use them to bless the people.  Also we wish to thank Teresa Eads for directing the choir.
