  Nov. 3, 1901 - Kansas Baptist Church founded.   April 1959 - The Church voted to build a new building at the same site.  
         
  1901 - The first Church building was started.   October 1960 - Dedicated the new building on Homecoming.  
         
  John Studdard was the first Sunday School Superintendent.   June 1963 - Voted to air condition the Church.  
         
  October 1906 - First protracted meeting. It lasted 8 days and Rev. A. M. Reeves preached and baptized 11 converts.   1966 - Bro. M. D. Hubbert called as first full time pastor.  
         
  August 1908 State Evangelist, Bro. Hubbard, preached a protracted meeting.   Nov. 1966 - Voted to build a Pastorium and it was completed the following year.  
         
  August 1909 - Rev. V. M. Davis of Red River, Texas preached in a protracted meeting.   March 1973 - The Church voted and bought 11 acres of land on the new Highway 78.  
         
  1910 - 1920 The Church continued meeting once a month followed by regular seating in conference.   May 1974 - The Church dedicated to build on our present site. Dedication of the new facilities was held on July 4, 1976.  
         
  May 9, 1915 - First recording of The Lord's Supper observed.   July 20, 1986 - Mortgage note burned for the Church.  
         
  July 8, 1917 - First recording of building committee. This committee was to raise money for the building.   May 3, 1992 - Money donated by Ms. Clorenda Rutledge Davis for a new steeple and other building improvements.  
         
  April 1920 - Second recording of a finance committee meeting whose duty it was to contact members every 30 days and give them a chance to contribute to the pastor's salary.   Oct. 5, 2001 - New tin roof completed on the Church.  
         
  At this conference a motion was made and carried that the Articles of Faith and The Church Covenant be read the First Sunday in each quarter at the closing of service and that The Lord's Supper be observed.   Oct. 5, 2001 - Kansas Baptist Church celebrated its 100th Anniversary.  
         
  During the early years the Church grew. There were many revivals and many converts and additions to the Church.   1988  - The Church called Alfred M. Hartley as Bi-Vocational Pastor; he served until 1994.  
         
  From 1930 to 1940 - The Church struggled during the Great Depression but the Lord provided for survival.   January 23, 2002 -  Called Alfred M. Hartley as interim pastor.  
         
  1930 - The Church was addresses in conference as Kansas Baptist Church.   January 8, 2003 - The Church called Alfred M. Hartley out of retirement he is currently serving as our full time pastor.  
         
  1938 - Bro. B. J. Wilson preached in revival, total collections $21.82.   January 12, 2003 - The Church placed a lighted church sign in front of the Church along side of the 78 highway .  
         
  1939 - Collection for Troy Orphanage $2.00 and for Eldridge School 70 cents.   October 3, 2003 - The Church voted unanimously to build a Family Life Center. Fund raising began immediately.  
         
  1942 - Preaching services began to be held twice a month.   August 22, 2004 - the Church held out official groundbreaking for the Family Life Center.  Grading for the building began on Monday, August 23, 2004.  
         
  1954 - First Vacation Bible School.   November 30, 2004 - the Church officially received the keys to the building shell.  The first phase included gym lighting and safe rooms.  The second phase began which is the completion of the Fellowship Room by Homecoming 2005.  
         
  1954 - There was a need for more room so Sunday School rooms were made in the basement.   September 5, 2001 - Sale of Pastorium  
         
  1955 - The Church voted to contribute 3% to Walker Association and 7% to the Cooperative Program.   January 12, 2003 - Called Brother Hartley as Pastor (second term)  
         
  1957 - The Church voted to go to from half to full time Sunday Service. Bro James Griffin accepted the call to full time ministry.   October 5, 2003 - Voted to begin first phase of Family Life Center.
